Adam, Couldn't agree with you more. As important as Nash is to the team he is a defensive liability in a one on one situation.
It seems that the Suns are too often trading baskets with the opponents. When it comes time for some defensive stops, nothing happens. It is what it is and this is the reason that the Suns without Amare are not going to make the playoffs. It is time to, as you suggest, enjoy Steve Nash for the fine performances that he has given us. I doubt that he or Shaq will be back next year.
Management would probably be wise to tear this team apart and build a new team from the draft and the younger players on the roster. This Suns team had their opportunity and were unable to get to the finals or to win the championship. The rookie GM sunk their chances the past two years with poor trades. I hope that they have a decent draft pick this year. Last years picks have yet to help the team.
Grant Hill continues to amaze. I hope that he will be back with more of the same.

Agreed. Definitely not all Nash's fault. Nobody on the Suns seems to play D outside of Grant Hill. I think it's more of an attitude thing than a physical thing. These guys are physically capable of playing defense, but not mentally willing to do so... you can probably think Mike D'Antoni for that.

Tonight is a <a href="http://azfans.com/win-or-go-home-one-last-chance-to-save-planet-orange.htm" rel="nofollow">must win for the Suns!</a>

Trent,
I am not hyping points at the end of the game at all. As I mentioned in the post, the Suns should not have Nash in the game when they need defensive stops.

Tonight's game against Dallas is a must win or the Suns can start prepping who they want to draft next year. Nash also has a team option for next year...so if they don't make it in, Nash may be playing in New York next year.

Offense doesn't win championships why are you hyping points at the end of the game. They were trading buckets in those games. The Suns have never had enough defense from the Kevin Johnson games. They have always played the same. Great exciting offense but during playoffs defense takes over.

I love Nash his offense IQ is next level but defense is below and he can't make it up athletically. But still there has been guards like that but the team backed it up with great team defense but the Suns have never had great defense IQ. Yes great athletes but not great team 'd' that's why they have always sucked come playoff time.
