Adam, Terra Firma

Just a play on words. The Suns have been flying high. They are simply coming back to reality (earth or terra firma) I guess I could refer you to the old "Flash Gordon" series but most readers would not know that referrence!! The term 'terra firma' is often used to denote something stable, tangible, real, basic, etc.
The team only has a couple of losses against teams that they could/should beat. I see no reason to panic or even question their performance.
It is a very long season and no team will win every game it 'should' win. Then again every team will win some games it shouldn't win.
Tuesday's game vs the Mavs was a game that either team could have won. Perhaps the unavailability of LB was a major factor but every team will have key players out for a number of games.
The bench is still not strong enough and we lack a good penetrator. I do like the fact that Channing Frye is acting more like a basketball player and less like Carol Channing. He is still a very soft paint defender. Sure would like to see him lose the touch fouls (see the foul against Dirk in the first half) and actually stop the player and the ball when he is defending under the basket.

Terra firma is a Latin phrase meaning "solid earth" (from terra "earth" and firma "solid"). The phrase refers to the dry land on the earth's surface and is used to differentiate from the sea. In the Republic of Venice, it was used in respect of the mainland territories.

Is this reference from a show?
