Alright China, we understand that you like Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets. However, your voting for Tracy McGrady because of his association with the Houston Rockets is getting a bit ridiculous. Tracy McGrady has played for a grand total of 46 minutes this season (less than a full game of NBA Basketball). Yet somehow inexplicably, he is allowed on the NBA All-Star ballot and has in fact received enough votes to secure the 2nd starting guard spot along with Kobe Bryant. The sad reality to this situation is a 2-time MVP is having perhaps his best season yet and is still trailing by over 2000 votes coming into today. Bryant, the reigning NBA Finals MVP, has received 1,793,782 votes, and Tracy McGrady, who is being actively shopped on the trade market by Houston, continues to lead a tight race for the second guard spot in the West with 746,625 votes. Phoenix’s Steve Nash (744,250) and New Orleans’ Chris Paul (701,417) are also in the mix.

Just in case people need a quick rundown of Nash’s qualifications before they vote and fix this insanity. Nash is average 18.9 points, 11.3 assists (league leader), shooting 54.3% from the field, shooting 94.3% from the line (league leader) and his leadership as a court general has propelled the Suns to a 23-13 record. The Suns are currently seeded 3rd in the Western Conference; far exceeding the “experts” expectations for this season. Nash simply should be the starter based on the fact he makes other players so much better. If anyone needs a prime example of this, see Channing Frye.

So everyone if you read this please spend 5 minutes of your time and click on the link below and vote for Steve Nash and not Tracy McGrady or Allen Iverson for that matter! Let’s get a future hall of famer in the starting 5 rather than a guy who hasn’t played this year!
